Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Jeanette Egemann

Welcome back to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and today we're CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) the absolutely amazing Jeanette Egemann.

I was so excited when I started looking through Jeanette's blog in preparation for this hop.  I've working on a birthday card for my daughter for a few weeks now but haven't made much progress as I couldn't figure out what to do about a sentiment.

Then...I came across this awesome card that Jeanette made recently and it gave me an idea.

Rather than using one big sentiment, I could separate the words out and place them where I wanted on the card.  And this is the final result.

To make the card, I started with a piece of watercolour paper and applied a combination of Melon Mambo, Berry Burst and Rose Red ink to create the background.

I then adhered the watercolour piece to some Whisper White cardstock and then onto a Melon Mambo card base.

To create the cupcake, I used the Sweet Cupcake stamp set and stamped the image using a combination of Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo ink.  To create the lighter pink, I stamped the Melon Mambo onto some scrap paper first before stamping it onto the cardstock.  I then die cut the stamped images using the matching Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies.

I used a sentiment from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp which I die cut using the smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  I also die cut a larger circle which I attached the cupcake to before wrapping some Silver Metallic Thread behind it and attaching to the card.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out in the end.  Thank you so much for the inspiration Jeanette!

And thank you to everyone for stopping by and taking the time to check out the blog hop.  Don't forget to take a look at the rest of the blog hop.  The full lineup is listed below.
