Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Jay Soriano

I'm back for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and  today we're CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) the extremely talented Jay Soriano from Mitosu Crafts!

I love their creativity and style so it's a real privilege to be able to take part in a blog hop with Jay.

The card I have chosen to CASE this week is this amazing piece

I love watercolouring so was drawn to this card straight away and of course, I kept with the watercolour theme for my cards.

To create my backgrounds I used a combination of Rose Red, Melon Mambo and Berry Burst ink and the smooshing technique - ink up a clear block, spritz with water, smoosh it onto your cardstock and repeat until you are happy with the colours and blending.  This is a really fun and easy technique and I ended up making quite a few backgrounds to use later.

Both the ribbon and the sentiments used on my cards are from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set.  For the first card, I stamped the ribbon onto vellum, heat embossed it and then cut it out using the Support Ribbon Framelits Dies.

For my second card, I stamped the ribbon directly onto my watercolour background and then heat embossed it.

I used a combination of Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstock for the layers and card base and added a few sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment pack to finish the cards off.

I hope you've enjoyed my cards.  I'd love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment.

The full lineup for today's blog hop is below so don't forget to check the rest of the amazing creations out.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Tanya Boser

Hi all!

It's Crazy Crafters Blog Hop time and today we're joined by special guest Tanya Boser.

I absolutely love Tanya's creations and style so I'm very excited to have the opportunity to hop with her and CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of her projects.

The project I've decided to CASE is this fantastic card.  I love the stamped background and the layering and the pop of red.  Isn't it great!

For my card, I decided to keep a similar layout but rather than create a stamped background, I used the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I just love this embossing folder and think it works really well with masculine and baby cards.

Next up, I used the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch to create the little bear and mounted him onto a oval I cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Just a tip, the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch doesn't cut out the bears ears, so stamp them onto the piece of cardstock and then place your bear over the top so the ears are lined up nicely.

To finish off the card, I used the banner from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies and a sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp set.

This was such an easy card to make using the dies and punches and only 3 colours (Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Marina Mist) and I'm hoping the recipient likes it as much as I do!

That's it from me.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please feel free to leave a comment and don't forget to take a look through the rest of the lineup below.
