You're The Bloomin' Best

Welcome back!

For today's Crazy Crafters Team Highlight I thought I'd try something a little different and use a die as a stencil.

To create the stencil I used some scrap cardstock and die cut the Bloomin' Heart thinlit by Stampin' Up!.  I then used some temporary adhesive to adhere it to a piece of Whisper White cardstock before sponging Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight inks over the stencil and blending until I was happy with the colours.

I then sponged some more Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight onto some cardstock and then cut out some flowers, again using the Bloomin' Heart thinlet set.  After carefully removing the stencil, I glued the flowers onto the heart, placing some clear beads into the centre of each flower.  There were some little circles left over from the centre of the flowers when I die cut them out so I used them around the outside of the heart.

For the sentiment I used a combination of stamps from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set and the Watercolour Wishes card kit.  The 'you're' was stamped onto the cardfront using Basic Black ink and the 'the best' was white heat embossed onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock.

I then used the scalloped square from the Squares Collection framelits die to create the frame and propped it up using dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks card and that you give this technique a try sometime.

Thanks for stopping by.
