The inspiration for my project came from this card of Cindy’s:
And here is my case of Cindy's card:
I usually find inspiration in the layout of a card but this time I was drawn to a few different elements - the plaid patterned paper, the holly stamp background and the pine swag.
For my card I used the same Designer Series Paper Stack that Cindy used, Warmth and Cheer, but chose a red plaid pattern. As I wanted this to be a main feature, I left the rest of the card relatively simple and instead added some interest by using a round card base of Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock.
For the card front I only added a greeting and my holly/pine swag inspired element, which were some holly die cuts and ‘berries’ left over from the Stitched with Cheer Project Kit.
The greeting was die cut using the ‘merry’ from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and Whisper White cardstock and the ‘christmas’ from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set which I heat embossed using white embossing powder.
I hope you have enjoyed my card. I’d love to hear what you think so please leave a comment and check out the lineup to see who is up next!
