Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Lea Denton

It's been a while since I last posted, but I'm back this week for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and today we are CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) Lea Denton.

I've been admiring Lea's creations from a distance for a while now, so it's a real privilege to not only be able to CASE her work, but to participate in a blog hop with her!

It was really hard to narrow down one of Lea's projects to CASE, but I finally decided one this set as I was drawn to the lovely layout.

For my card, I decided to also stick with the floral theme.  I used the large flower image from the Birthday Blooms stamp set which I stamped onto vellum using Whisper White ink.  Once the ink had dried, I flipped the vellum over and watercoloured the back using Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers.  I then wrapped the vellum piece around some Very Vanilla cardstock.

For the card base I used a combination of Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake cardstock.  To finish the card off, I used my Pink Pirouette marker to splatter some ink, and then added some pearls and Very Vanilla Lace Trim.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my latest creation.  Please feel free to leave a comment AND don't forget to take a look at the rest of the blog hop lineup below.  You won't be disappointed!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Billie Moan

It's Crazy Crafters Blog Hop time again and today we're CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) Billie Moan.

If you haven't seen Billie's projects before, make sure you stop by her page sometime and check it out.  I can guarantee you'll come away with plenty of ideas for your next crafty project.

For this weeks card, I decided to CASE this card by Billie.

I don't make many fancy fold type cards so thought this would be a good challenge for me.  It did take a bit longer to make than my usual cards but it was loads of fun and I'm really happy with the final result.

For my card, I used the same dimensions as outlined in Billie's post but changed up the designer series paper and stamp sets and dies.

I used the yellow polka dot paper from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper and some of the embossed paper from the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper which I sponged with Bermuda Bay ink.

The flowers and leaves were created using the Falling Flowers stamp set and matching May Flowers Framelits Dies.  I used Blushing Bride cardstock and Flirty Flamingo ink to create the flowers and leaves were made using Pear Pizzazz cardstock and Wild Wasabi ink.  I also used some Brights Enamel Shapes and Clear Wink of Stella Glitter on the flowers and leaves.

The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink using a sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.

That's it for me today.  I hope you've enjoyed reading about my card.  Please leave a comment below and let me know what you think.

Also, don't forget to take in the rest of the amazing creations on this blog hop.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Mikaela Titheridge

I'm back again for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and today we're CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) Mikaela Titheridge.

There's going to be plenty of inspiration, so make sure you take a look at the rest of the hop, including Mikaela's creation as she has joined in with us.

Today I've chosen to CASE these cards that Mikaela made using the Special Reason stamp set.

I love the combination of So Saffron and Calypso Coral so as soon as I saw these colours I knew I was going to use them on my card.  I also love the flower image so decided to use the Definitely Dahlia stamp set as my focal point.

I wanted to try a few different techniques so have made 2 cards.

For my first card I placed a strip of masking tape across the cardstock, to leave a blank space for the sentiment, and then stamped the Definitely Dahlia stamp onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Versamark.  I then heat embossed the image using White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

To create the colour gradient I used a sponge to apply Calypso Coral ink to the centre of the image and So Saffron ink to the rest of the image, blending the colours together until I was happy.

I then stamped a sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

For my second card wanted to try using watercolour so followed the same process as above, expect I replaced the Whisper White cardstock with Watercolour Paper.

To apply the colour, I spritzed some water over the paper and then placed drops of Calypso Coral and So Saffron ink onto various areas and let the water move the ink around.

The sentiment used on this card is also from the One Big Meaning stamp set.  For this card, I did stamp the sentiment onto a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and attach it to the card front as I wasn't very successful with removing the masking tape from the watercolour paper.

To finish of both cards, I layered the card front onto a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and then attached it to a card base made from Whisper White cardstock

I hope you've enjoyed stopping by.  I'd love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment below.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the blog hop!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Rachel Tessman

It's time for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and this week we're CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) Rachel Tessman.  Rachel is also joining in on the hop so make sure you check out her creation, and everyone elses too (the full lineup can be found at the end of this post).

There are so many fantastic projects and ideas on Rachel's blog that I had trouble deciding what to CASE.  In the end, I chose to CASE this design that Rachel used to make a whole series of cards which can be found here and here.

For my cards, I decided to use the Floral Phrases stamp set and the matching Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.  I love these matching suites that Stampin' Up! put together as it makes it so easy to create lovely cards!

This is the first card I made:

And here is the second:

Both cards were made using a combination of Whisper White and Night of Navy cardstock, along with the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.  For the second card I also decided to add a couple of extra layers of cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and I stamped it in Night of Navy.  I then used the Layering Circles Framelits to create the scalloped piece of Night of Navy cardstock and cut out the sentiment.

The stamp you can see peeking out from behind the sentiment is from the Floral Phrases stamp set.

I'm also entering this card into this weeks Global Design Project #GPD078 which is a sketch challenge.
I hope you've enjoyed stopping by.  Please feel free to leave a comment and don't forget to take a look at the rest of the lineup!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Janneke de Jong

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop.

This week we are joined by, and CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit), Janneke de Jong!

As always, there will be plenty of amazing projects to see as part of this blog hop, so make sure you check out the rest of the lineup at the end of this post.

I had a hard time deciding which of Janneke's cards to CASE as she has made so many fantastic creations, but in the end, I decided on this card.

I really like the layout of this card.  It's so simple but the result is stunning and you can change it up slightly to create a completely different card.

I actually made 2 cards using this layout, a simple version and a slightly stepped up version, and thought I'd post both as I couldn't decide which one I liked better.

This is the first card I created...

I used the Happy Celebrations stamp set and stamped the 'HAPPY' multiple times onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I then used the Celebrations Due embossing folder to emboss the 'HAPPY' in the center of the panel.

I used So Saffron and Calypso Coral cardstock for the layers and the card base is Bermuda Bay.

To step the card up a bit, I used the same technique but stamped and embossed the 'HAPPY' onto some scrap cardstock before colouring it in with a So Saffron Stampin' Write maker and fussy cutting each of the letters out.

I then used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the letters over the top of the 'HAPPY' in the center of the panel.

I should also mention that the colour inspiration came from this weeks TGIF Challenge #tgifc97.  I have entered the 'stepped up' card into this challenge, as well as this weeks Global Design Project #GDP076 where the challenge is 'CASE the Designer'.

I hope you like these cards as much as I do.  Please feel free to leave a comment below and don't forget to check out the rest of the blog hop!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Georgia Giguere

I'm back again for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop.  This week we are CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) Georgia Giguere and she is also hopping along with us!

The full list of todays lineup is below, so make sure you head on over to the next blog after visiting here so you can see the rest of the amazing creations.

For todays card, I chose to CASE this card of Georgia's.

I have a lot of washi tape but don't find I use it on my projects much so thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use some.  I decided to pair this up with the Tasty Trucks stamp set, which is one of the free Sale-A-Bration items available this year.  And this is the result...

I just love this little truck, and it's perfect for colouring.  I used my Stampin' Write markers to colour directly onto the truck (Sweet Sugarplum, Blushing Bride, Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy, Smoky Slate and Basic Black) and then used some of the Playful Palette washi tape.

I decided to make a couple of versions of this card to use as my customer thank you cards, so I mounted some onto Blushing Bride cardstock, and others onto Emerald Envy before adhering them to a Whisper White cardbase.

I love how the tape adds another level to the card and I'll definitely be breaking out my rolls of washi tape more often!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you've enjoyed the blog hop so far.  Feel free to leave a comment and please check out the rest of the lineup below.  You won't be disappointed!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Sandi MacIver

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. Today we are CASE-ing (Copy And Selectively Edit) Sandi MacIver and she is hopping along with us!

We hope that you have fun following along with the hop.  There are so many amazing projects to enjoy.  Make sure you check out the full lineup below.

There are so many inspiring projects over on Sandi's page but my inspiration came from this card.  Isn't it gorgeous!

I love the colours that Sandi used and initially I started to design a card using these colours, but this is what I ended up creating.  Something totally different inspired by the layout of Sandi's card.

The background was created using Pacific Point cardstock and the Confetti embossing folder and I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out two different sized ovals, one in Emerald Envy and the other in Whisper White.

The birthday greeting was stamped in Pacific Point, Emerald Envy and Tangerine Tango ink, using stamps from the Cake Crazy stamp set.  I also added some matching stars from the Brights and 2016-2018 In Colour Enamel Shapes.

I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach both the oval die cuts to the background and then adhered this to a Whisper White card base.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by.  I should add that the colour inspiration for this card came from Case This Card #CTC018 Colour Challenge which I've also entered this card into.

Please make sure you check out the rest of the lineup below.  I’d love to hear from you too so please leave a comment!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Cindy Schuster

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. Today we are CASE-ing (Copy And Selectively Edit) Cindy Schuster which is an amazing honour. Even better though, is that Cindy is joining us on this hop.

We hope that you enjoy looking through all the stunning projects and find plenty of inspiration.  The full lineup is listed below so be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue on with the blog hop.

The inspiration for my project came from this card of Cindy’s:

And here is my case of Cindy's card:

I usually find inspiration in the layout of a card but this time I was drawn to a few different elements - the plaid patterned paper, the holly stamp background and the pine swag.

For my card I used the same Designer Series Paper Stack that Cindy used, Warmth and Cheer, but chose a red plaid pattern.  As I wanted this to be a main feature, I left the rest of the card relatively simple and instead added some interest by using a round card base of Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock.

For the card front I only added a greeting and my holly/pine swag inspired element, which were some holly die cuts and ‘berries’ left over from the Stitched with Cheer Project Kit.

The greeting was die cut using the ‘merry’ from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and Whisper White cardstock and the ‘christmas’ from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set which I heat embossed using white embossing powder.

I hope you have enjoyed my card.  I’d love to hear what you think so please leave a comment and check out the lineup to see who is up next!
