Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Cathy Caines

Hi!

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Cathy Caines.   Cathy is a member of the Stampin' Up! 2018 Artisan Design Team and is so talented.  It's a real pleasure to hop along with her today!

I was going to be organised and create my card earlier in the month but I had a lot of trouble deciding which of Cathy's creations to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) as they're all so amazing,.  When this card popped up recently though, I fell in love with the layout and knew straight away what I wanted to do.

I'm usually drawn to floral stamps but I wanted to try something a bit different this time and create with a stamp set I haven't used yet, so I decided to use the We Must Celebrate stamp set.

I stamped the critters onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and coloured them using Stampin' Blends in Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette.  I also used the confetti stamp to create a same tone background using Pink Pirouette cardstock and ink.

I layered these panels together using a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and then adhered it to a Whisper White card base.  I also used a sentiment from the A Little Wild stamp set.

The little critters are so cute!  I'll definitely be using them again, particularly as they're so quick and easy to colour.

That's all from my today.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'd love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment.

The rest of the blog hop lineup is listed below so don't forget to take a look at the amazing creations everyone's put together!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Wendy Lee

Hi!

Welcome to our Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Wendy Lee!

Wendy is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from North Carolina and is very talented. I love her creations and I'm feeling very lucky to be hopping along with her today.

For todays blog hop, I decided to case this card that Wendy made recently.  I love how crisp and clean this card looks, with the white space and image stamped to the side.

I decided to follow suit with my card but rather than use a patterned paper for the background, I dry embossed my cardstock using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.

For my stamped image, I used the large flower image from the Petal Palette stamp set and coloured it in using the Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  As I wanted to keep this as the focal point of the card, I only added a little bit of colour behind the image, layering it onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock.

I chose a greeting from the Birthday Blooms stamp set to finish off the card.

I enjoyed making this card so much, that I made a few more, using different colour combinations and changing the layout slightly on some of them.

That's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by.  I'd love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment!

The rest of the lineup is listed below, so don't forget to check out the other amazing creations the Crazy Crafters have put together to share with you!

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Allison Okamitsu

Hi!

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop.  Today we're joined by special guest Allison Okamitsu who is all the way over in Canada.  I've been following Allison for a while as I love her card designs and style so I'm pretty excited that she's joining us today!

While I was browsing through Allison's blog, looking for a card to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit), I came across this card.  I've seen a few cards lately where die cuts have been used to create the background and I really like the effect so I knew straight away that this was the card I was going to CASE.

To create the background for my card, I used Pink Pirouette cardstock and die cut a number of different size circles using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies and the 1-3/4" Circle Punch.  After working out their placement, I then adhered them onto another piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock and trimmed the cardstock down to size.

I then stamped the unicorn from the Magical Day Stamp Set and coloured it in using Stampin' Blends (Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Pink Pirouette) before cutting it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

The 'happy birthday' greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set and I created a little banner for the greeting using the Classic Label Punch

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my creation. I would love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment!

Make sure you check out the rest of the blog hop as there's plenty more to see and lots of amazing creations to inspire you.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Rose Coleman

Hi!

Today I'm taking part in another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop and this time around we are being joined by special guest Rose Coleman.

Rose is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from Calgary Alberta, Canada, and I absolutely love her creations.  They're so bright and colourful which make then loads of fun to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit).

The inspiration this week came from this card that Rose made at the start of the year.  I love the patterned background and the layering of the banner over the stamped image and these are the elements that carried over into my creation.

Rather than use patterned paper for the background of my card though, I decided to try a technique I recently saw online using bubble wrap and Brusho Crystal Colour.  This technique is so simple and fun - you just sprinkle Brush Crystal Colour over some bubble wrap, spritz with water, and then press a piece of Watercolour Paper down over the top to transfer the pattern.

To create the stamped images, I used a greeting and the knight image from the Magical Day Bundle.  I then coloured the knight in using Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.

The greeting is die cut using the coordinating die from the Bundle and although there is also a coordinating die for the knight, I decided to cut the image out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. I adhered this to a piece of Real Red cardstock that I die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits and then attached the stamped images to the background.

To finish off the card, I layered the background piece onto some Basic Black cardstock and then a Whisper White card base.

I love how this card finished up, especially the background, and will be trying this technique out on some more projects.

I hope you've enjoyed the blog hop so far.  If you'd like to see more, please check out the rest of the lineup below.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Sale-A-Bration & Occasions Catty Hop

Hi!

I'm back with my first post for the year and am super excited as I'm joining the Crazy Crafters to showcase some of the amazing products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues.

There are some many fantastic sets in the Occasions Catalogue and it was tough deciding which suite to showcase, but I can't go past the Tutti-Frutti Suite.

The Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper is so fun and bright and the Fruit Basket stamp set and coordinating Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack are adorable!  They're the perfect size for making mini 3"x3" cards and that's exactly what I did.

For my first card, I decided to feature the pears, which I stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Suede.  The pears are cut out using the coordinating punch and then adhered to a circle I cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies. For the card base I used Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper.

For the second card, I stamped the strawberries in Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist and then cut them out with the coordinating punch.  For the card base I used Whisper White and Real Red cardstock and the Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper.

These cards were really easy and quick to make.  I'll definitely be playing with this suite more!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the blog hop to see some more products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Brations Catalogues.  The full lineup is listed below.
