I've been playing with Stampin' Up!'s Rose Wonder stamp set and the matching Rose Garden thinlit dies and this is one of the cards I have created with this set.

For the cardfront I used Real Red cardstock and die cut the large rose from the thinlit set. As I wanted to watercolour the rose, I stamped the rose image onto some watercolour paper using Versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder. For a more vibrant result with the watercolouring, I put some water down on the watercolour paper and then used Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler re-inkers and a paint brush to apply the colour. Once dry, I lined the watercolour piece up with the die cut image in the cardfront and glued them together. I then adhered this to a Real Red card base.
A white heat embossed sentiment from the Watercolour Wishes stamp set and a few pearls finish off the card.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jessie. I tend to overwork my watercolouring so I tried to let it do it's thing this time and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
